Self Esteem Crisis

Today in church, Claire asked me several questions. Mom, do all grown up have that extra skin under their necks like you do? Mom, what are those bumps on your face? You have one here, here and here. Mom, what are those blue dots on your legs and ankles? (Varicose veins.) Wow. I love that girl.

Brian is in Chicago

Brian is off to Chicago to take a cram course and his board exam next weekend. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Bluebonnets!

Its been a year and a half since I knew we were moving back to Texas and I've been excited all that time to show the girls the bluebonnets. They have pictures in them when they were babies, but they don't remember it! They did not disappoint and were duly excited about seeing the flowers. They have been warned that this picture taking will be an annual event!

Scout-Second Class

Yay! Tyler received his Second Class Scout award! No longer a Tenderfoot and one step closer to Eagle. This morning, Tyler was looking through his Scout manual to see what he needed to do to earn the next rank advancement. Last nights Court of Honor was pretty motivating for him. Disclaimer: Brian's hair isn't as big as it looks in this picture. The shadow from the flash just happens to be the same color as his hair! I'm ignoring his request not to post this picture...a decision I'm sure I will live to regret! ;-)

Cowgirls

So, my girls are truly being brainwashed as Texans! They are pretty sure they already own horses. Brian's Uncle Scott has horses, and since they are in the family, they also belong to us. They are planning to have their next birthday party at Uncle Scott's, too! Maybe I should let him know!
